Ann’s Choice Employees Volunteer to Support Local Families in Need

Ann’s Choice employees recently took part in a volunteer effort at Caring for Friends, a local nonprofit dedicated to serving those in need. The team, led by Director of Human Resources Jeannette Collins and Director of Resident Life Trisha Malabuyo, made over 500 sandwiches for local families. This initiative was part of the community’s ‘Volunteer with Me’ program, which encourages employees to use their paid volunteer hours for community outreach activities sponsored by an executive team member.

The event not only provided essential support to families in need but also fostered team spirit among the volunteers, who enjoyed singing along to classic 90s hits during their sandwich-making session. Collins expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the community, stating, ‘Moments like these remind me how powerful even small acts of kindness can be.’

Ann’s Choice’s commitment to community service and employee well-being was further recognized when the community was named the Kitchen Team of the Year for 2024 by Caring for Friends. Managed by Erickson Senior Living, Ann’s Choice offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 40 paid community volunteer hours, among other perks such as tuition reimbursement, a 401K with company match, and generous paid time off. These benefits reflect the community’s dedication to financial stability, health and well-being, and work-life balance for its employees.
