Woodfire Trattoria wins 2025 Chili Crawl

DOWAGIAC — The ballots have been counted and the results are official. The Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce Ice Time Festival Committee announced Wednesday that the 2025 Chili Crawl Champion is Woodfire Trattoria.

Chili Crawl Chairperson Jordan Anderson, owner of The Baker’s Rhapsody in Dowagiac, presented the traditional trophy to Chef Jessica Myers Wednesday afternoon.

“I am happy for Jessica,” Anderson stated. “This is Jessica’s first year doing this competition on her own. Chef Cheryl recently retired and Jessica was promoted to Head Chef.”

Myers has worked at the restaurant for thirteen years, starting out as a busser. Her entry for the Chili Crawl Competition was Cajun White Chicken Chili made with andouille sausage along with chicken and various types of beans.

“I enjoyed making this for the public- it is usually something I make at home,” said Myers. “And now we are planning to serve it as our featured soup for a bit this month.”

Woodfire Trattoria is open Wednesday to Sunday at 4 p.m. Valentine’s Day Specials will start Feb. 12 and continue through the holiday weekend.
